"Sali-Salita" | Kasambuhay Habambuhay Short Film Anthology | Nestle PH
A film by A/F Benaza
Description: Because of her job, the mother is unable to spend quality time with her son. After receiving a call from her dad, she tells his son that his grandfather will come to their house. The grandfather and the son spend time together by playing a game where in one has to draw a paper from the box and whatever paper they get, and whatever is written on it, they will make a story out of it.
Basically, this film is very effective for Filipinos since it's family-oriented. I admit, it's actually quite touching. It does not only shows the product (where in the box used is Nido, I see what they did there), it also shows the importance of giving time for your family despite your hectic schedule. Sometimes we tend to take advantage of our loved ones because we have this assurance that they're going to be there all the time. However, we also tend to overlook that they too can be drifting away from us without us realizing it. So I pretty much guess that that is what this commercial wants to impart to their viewers.
So this a 1976 ad from Royal. Unlike the present commercials from Royal, this one's straightforward with their message. The video consists of people dancing and just having a drink of Royal. And there's this girl who talks on the background.
Personally, I think this TVC is pretty entertaining because it seems like 70's feels so homey and simple.
Title: "Sayaw" Duration: TVC, 15s edit master version 1 (peel away) Agency: Publicis Manila Prod. House: Provill Product: Nestle Drumstick Duo Client: Nestle Philippines Producer: Jing Javier Director: Jeorge Agcaoili Colorist: James Ecito Editor: Joel Alagao Suite: Flame Date: January 17, 2013 Description: a humorous commercial about a single guy trying to pretend as if he's with someone else. Humor will never be absent in every Filipino commercials (including drama, too). And in this commercial, it shows that you'll never feel alone as long as you have Nestle Drumstick Duo. To be honest, I don't see any significance as to why an ice cream has anything to do with being single. Maybe it's because it's usually perceived that single people love to eat? Or maybe it's just for the humor effect? Whatever the reasons have to be, the ice cream sure looks delish, nonetheless.
Length: 15 seconds Date: March 5, 2013 Ref. No.: 130305.01 Agency: PUBLICIS MANILA Client: Nestle Philippines Product: Nestle Wellness Prod. House: FILM PABRIKA Director: CARLO DIRECTO Producer: JEM LIM/ DINO DELA RAMA Colorist: EMIL BATUNGBACAL Editor/s: YARD Artist/s: EOVFX Description: Nestle compared salt from Magic Sarap, claiming that Magic Sarap has less sodium than real salt. Sure, salt can cause kidney problems. Since then, I wasn't fond of granules or anything that substitutes salt. I believed that whether this Maggi Magic Sarap contains less sodium, there would always be an ingredient in it that will still make it unhealthy. Although it contains less sodium, it's still artificial and it contains preservatives. To put this bluntly, I think this commercial is subpar. People claiming that Magic Sarap is a good substitute for salt are kidding themselves. Salt will always be better since it existed a looooooong time ago before this product is even created. I know that salt causes kidney problems and whatnot but I think everything comes in moderation. It's not like you're going to pour the entire salt in your dish, right? If Nestle is going to embed to people's mind that their product Maggi Magic Sarap is a much healthier alternative, they're dead wrong.
In
this commercial, Jack and Jill’s Mang Juan featured their new line of product:
noodles. Of course it’s known that Mang Juan had made a name for being just a
junk food. But considering that their new product had uniqueness when it comes
to flavor, Filipinos had loved it.
As
usual, the humor will never be excluded from every Filipino commercials.
