Description: Nestle compared salt from Magic Sarap, claiming that Magic Sarap has less sodium than real salt.
Sure, salt can cause kidney problems.
Since then, I wasn't fond of granules or anything that substitutes salt. I believed that whether this Maggi Magic Sarap contains less sodium, there would always be an ingredient in it that will still make it unhealthy. Although it contains less sodium, it's still artificial and it contains preservatives.
To put this bluntly, I think this commercial is subpar. People claiming that Magic Sarap is a good substitute for salt are kidding themselves. Salt will always be better since it existed a looooooong time ago before this product is even created. I know that salt causes kidney problems and whatnot but I think everything comes in moderation. It's not like you're going to pour the entire salt in your dish, right?
If Nestle is going to embed to people's mind that their product Maggi Magic Sarap is a much healthier alternative, they're dead wrong.
